  1. I love your plug-ins for Awesome Flickr Gallery however I encountered a problem I couldn’t go to 2nd page of the photos…. it end up an error so can you help?

    Thanks

  2. Can you send me the page URL where you are using the plugin? Also, which version of the plugin are you using? Latest version is 1.3.0.

  3. Ronak,
installed the new version of Awesome Gallery and Flickr slide show of my theme stopped working. Do you have any suggestions of what might have happened?

  4. @seynna, nice suggestion there. I’ll have to add it to the roadmap of the plugin.

@Jesse, you just need to put code [AFG_gallery] in any of the post or page where you want to generate your flickr gallery.

  5. Hey there,

I am trying to make a photography website, and wanted to integrate my flickr into it. I’m VERY new to wordpress, and have no idea how to use your plugin. I downloaded it, installed it, and activated it. Now How do I get my pictures onto my website?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jesse

  6. @Tim, latest version of the plugin fixes the broken link issue. I have also added an option for slideshow now when you click the photo. Let me know how it is.

  7. Ronak Gandhi:

@Tim, you have a fancybox for wordpress plugin that is overriding my plugin code. See if that plugin can be disabled for your photos page.
@Christina, I can’t find anything wrong with your page. I’ll need some more time to figure out what’s going wrong there.
@imoogi, Can you create a private page (won’t appear anywhere) on your website, load my plugin there and send me the link. I need to find out the problem.
@Jolyon, can you please post the link to the page?

Ok, I disabled Fancybox completely, could not find a way to disable it for only that page. The pictures work now, however, there is a broken link on the bottom right of each picture when opened. I think it is the “Close” button? Check it out when you have time.

  8. @arran, you have couple of other plugins installed which uses Lightbox and might conflict with Awesome Flickr Gallery. It might be the flickr-gallery or jquery-lightbox plugins. Can you deactivate and see if my plugin works? This would help me find the conflict and I can take care of it in next release of the plugin.

  9. You just have to write word AFG_gallery inside square brackets [] into any page or post where you want to generate the flickr gallery. Plugin pulls all your public photos from your flickr photostream.

  10. Hello awesome photos! I recently donwlaoded ur plugin but I’m not sure how to use it. Do I have to make galleries in flickr?

  11. @sebastian, inserting galleries to post is not supported right now. You can only display public photos from your Flickr photostream. I have it as part of planned features, but it will take some time.

You can’t use the plugin just with your user-id, Flickr requires to use an API key to access your photostream.

Regarding the features mentioned, just go to the settings page for Awesome Flickr Gallery to configure this. Check out the first screenshot on this page – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/awesome-flickr-gallery-plugin/screenshots/

  12. sorry for double posting, i created an flickr api key and [AFG_gallery] works, but i dont know how to use this features:

Select number of photos to display on the gallery
    Fast and light
View full size photos very quickly with easy navigation
    Turn on/off photo titles
Turn on/off photo descriptions and photo taken date
Select number of columns to organize photos
Select background color between White, Black or Transparent based on your theme

Thanks for your Plugin and help

  13. hi,
is there e list with all commands and examples?
for example, how can i insert a gallery to a post?
is it possible to use your plubin without flickr api key, only with flickr id?
    best wishes,
    sebastian

  14. I don’t think I am going to change my theme. I tried the Adventure Journal on that page and it didn’t work either. The only themes that I liked didn’t work and I tried about 13 different ones. I might just upload all of the images and create a gallery that is not attached to flickr. If I had more time I would edit and change a different theme around to work with me but this will be easier for me.

    Thanks for the time!

  15. @Christina, I have tested my plugin with few of the Most Popular themes on wordpress directory and it works. Hopefully you will find the right theme of your liking and plugin works with the theme too.

  16. Sorry was at Uni after an all nighter and fell asleep!

Right, javascript errors have all disappeared however I have a user not found error…. which I imagine would be a fault on my end. Will go over my details again and get back to you shortly! Thanks 😀

  17. Hmm, I just realized that it seems to be a problem with quite a few other themes that I try. It worked fine with Twenty Ten 1.2 but any of the other default wordpress themes it had the same problem…

  18. I’m glad it worked for you. Most likely the theme had some setting which was conflicting with the plugin.

@Jolyon, did the latest version 1.1.7 fix your issue?

  19. I tried it with a different theme and it worked. It looked great… It must be something in my theme that is not allowing it to function properly. 🙁 That makes me sad… It does look amazing, you did a really good job.

I will be rating it right now! 😀
